The visibility problem

Your agency produces the work and the scorecard.

That does not mean the report is wrong. It means you need a way to test whether the numbers answer the commercial questions that matter to your business.

Reported conversions do not match real enquiries

Platforms can count phone clicks, duplicated events or unqualified form submissions as conversions. We look for the gap between what the dashboard reports and what reached your business.

Activity is listed without a declared result

A long task list is not the same as evidence of improvement. A useful review records what changed, why it changed and what happened afterwards.

Channel averages hide the weak link

Blended performance can make one strong channel subsidise another. We separate channels, branded and non-branded demand, and verified from platform-reported outcomes.

Budget recommendations arrive without enough evidence

More budget can be the right answer, but only when tracking is credible, capacity exists and the additional spend has a commercially sensible case behind it.

What the audit covers

A digital marketing review built around business evidence.

We review the whole acquisition system available within your plan, not only the metric that improved most recently.

Reporting clarity

Whether the report explains spend, outcomes, changes, issues and next actions in a form a business owner can use—not just a collection of charts and platform metrics.

Tracking and verification

What each conversion event means, whether it can double count, and whether the reported result reconciles with enquiries, CRM records or sales evidence you can verify.

Agency activity and testing

What was changed during the period, what hypothesis was being tested and whether the test ever reached a declared conclusion.

Commercial alignment

Whether campaigns are optimising toward the customers, locations, products and margins that matter to the business rather than the cheapest available platform result.

Channel performance

Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, website conversion and lead handling are assessed separately so a blended headline cannot conceal where money or demand is being lost.

Recommendations and risk

Proposals, budget increases and strategic changes are tested against the evidence supplied, with the questions that should be answered before you approve them.

What you receive

An audit you can take back to the agency.

The objective is a better-informed working relationship. Every finding is written to support a practical next conversation rather than create conflict for its own sake.

A plain-English verdict

A direct explanation of what appears to be working, what cannot yet be verified and which issue deserves attention first.

An Agency Oversight Score

A consistent 0–100 score across access, tracking, reporting clarity, management transparency and commercial alignment so progress can be compared month to month.

Prioritised findings

Issues are ranked by commercial importance, with the evidence behind each one and the likely consequence of leaving it unresolved.

Questions ready to send

Specific questions written so you can paste them into an email or take them into your next agency review meeting without translating technical language first.

Why independent matters

A review should not be a sales pitch in disguise.

Many agencies offer a free audit as the first step toward winning a management contract. That can still be useful, but the commercial incentive is different: the reviewer benefits if you conclude that a replacement is needed.

AgencyGuard does not run campaigns, build websites or accept referral payments. We are paid by the business owner for the review, and your existing agency keeps doing the work.

AgencyGuard’s position

  • We do not contact your agency without your involvement
  • We disclose relevant conflicts before a review
  • We correct a finding when new context changes it
  • We do not profit from the remediation we recommend

How it works

From uncertainty to a decision you can defend.

You do not need to diagnose the problem before you join. Start with what you already have and we will tell you what is missing.

Share what you already receive

Upload the latest agency report, proposal or screenshots. Read-only platform access is optional and can be added when it would materially improve verification.

We review and reconcile it

A human reviewer assesses the report, available account evidence, tracking confidence, agency activity and commercial outcomes against a consistent methodology.

Use the findings

Receive the verdict, score, priorities and exact questions to ask. Ongoing members can then see whether the answers and results improve over time.

Questions

What business owners ask about marketing agency audit.

Is this a one-off marketing audit?

AgencyGuard is designed as ongoing independent review because one month rarely shows whether an agency responds well to feedback. Your first report provides an initial audit-style baseline; subsequent reports track what changed. Every membership is month to month unless you choose annual billing.

Do I need to give you access to every account?

No. You can start with the report and material you already have. If a finding needs verification inside Google Ads, Meta, GA4 or Search Console, we can explain how to grant properly scoped read-only access. We never ask for a platform password.

Will you tell me to fire my agency?

Our job is to explain the evidence, the questions that remain unanswered and the options available. Most issues are better handled by asking the agency to explain or correct them first. A good response is useful evidence too.

Is this a statutory or financial audit?

No. “Marketing audit” describes an independent professional review of the marketing information supplied. AgencyGuard reports are opinions, not legal findings, assurance engagements or financial audits.
